When using the level for vertical alignment, be sure the truck is level to begin with.

Any non power lifts, seems to be the right solution other than cutting out the sides and making fiberglass doors/window

I didn't realize this was made in China until I received it. I just figured it was made in the US. That's what I get for thinking I guess. LOL. I would have probably went with another option had I known. Pricey for china made. I get what people were saying now.

Excellent demo video. Very engaging. Interesting product.

A couple of areas of concern for me; 1. The brackets connect to the topper, that means holes in fiberglass unless you have metal topper. That presents an area of weakness in my mind, what happens if the glass breaks at those points? I would say there need to be supports at least underneath the glass running the length of the topper. This leads to second concern, 2. Holes equal potential leaks. In viewing this kit (great idea), I would have to note that there is a gap underneath between topper and truck bed side now, this allows yet another potential leak spot. Would require a better seal than just tape I would think…be interesting to see if mods could be made here to ensure no leaks… 3. When topper is elevated, if using a Weekender or Contractor package, if raining, where does the rain water running off the topper and tent sides flow to? If into the bed, that sucks! I would suggest having a sewn on waterproof material same as tent material that would hang over the bed so water simply runs off the topper and tent onto the ground vice into the truck bed. For the style camping I do, this setup would be the perfect solution for me. For now I have the 3 concerns and until addressed and fixed or I figure out a way to fix them myself, want to spend the money and get it, but cannot justify it as currently is.

The velcro at the top of the bed, both sides and the front is not water proof, what will run down the canvas to the top of the bed rail and water will leak through the velcro connection.

Not on my life would I buy that crap.

There are so many other better ways to overcome this issue. This particular solution would not even be on my list. But if you do have one thing going is the tenaciousness to see it through which is more than most..

How is this waterproof? Any water running down the sidewalls would soak through the velcro and go into the bed.

If anyone’s wondering these things are basically made out of bait cover metal and water does come through. You end up having to cover it with a tarp in the rain

A hack I use some is a wall piece with window from a clam quickset shelter. One of my dogs likes to chill on the tailgate

No way rain would hit these, and it not run off right into the truck bed. The sides of the canvas runs to the inside of the sides of the bed. You would virtually be sleeping in a swimming pool in a downpour.
